| SENIOR
MASS SPEC ANALYST POSITION: A full time position as Senior Analyst reporting to the Technical Manager. You will be head of our Analytical Department and will work with flavours and fragrances. JOB SUMMARY: Working with two analytical assistants you will run two GC-MS systems, organise the work of the department and plan research and development projects. You will liaise closely with our perfumers and flavourists. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: •To lead the analytical work and
ensure that deadlines are met.
•To supervise and train junior
staff.
•To troubleshoot the GC-MS
hardware and software.
•To keep abreast of developments
in the industry and take the department forward.
•To increase the intellectual
property within the department such as the GC-MS libraries.
REQUIREMENTS •A background in Flavours and
Fragrances and/or Chemistry.
•Practical experience in Gas
Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry.
•Motivated individual with an
analytical and innovative mind.
•Strong drive to absorb and
develop further skills centered around GC-MS (hardware and software).
