The British Society of Perfumers

Membership requirements.
Full Members are those who have spent at least five years working as a Perfumer, practising the art and science of Perfumery.
Associate Members are those who contribute to Perfumery in a technical and/or olfactory capacity, technical and marketing consultants, commercial and technical personnel.
Honorary Membership may be awarded to individuals who deserve special recognition of their services to the Perfumery Industry and the Society.
The fourth category of membership is that of Student Member, studying a course in Perfumery at an approved educational establishment.

A further newly introduced membership category is Friend of the Society, for people who are interested in Perfumery but who are not eligible for membership.
Applications for membership have to meet the necessary requirements outlined above and be Sponsored by two Full Members who are known personally to the applicant in a professional capacity. Membership is open to individuals only, not companies (try the British Fragrance Association for company membership of an organisation).
